This machine was an impulse rescue from the RPI Electronics Club in early '06.
I remember several attempts at tinkering with VAXen there, which began when
we rescued a full-size VAX 8530 from the school's computing center. While I
personally was soon distracted by Sun 3 machines (running UNIX, which is more
familiar to me), I've always found these boxes quite interesting. So, since I
saw a pile of unused ones on that trip, I figured that I'd pick one up for
myself. Now I just hope I can figure out VMS ;-)
(No, I am not going to run a UNIX-like OS on this machine)
